In the Alleys

While finding new subjects for both my Street Photography anda project OF that subject in October 2007, I came to the dead end of this heavily painted alleyway; it has a tendency to make you think that the fire escape will carry up and out of the alley, despite it being a dead end; a metaphor, perhaps, for climbing out of the gutter on your own efforts?
